Glossary: 7,8-dihydroneopterin = 2-amino-6-[(1S,2R)-1,2,3-trihydroxypropyl]-7,8-dihydropteridin-4(3H)-one
7,8-dihydroxanthopterin = 2-amino-3,5,7,8-tetrahydropteridin-4,6-dione
Systematic name: 7,8-dihydroneopterin:oxygen oxidoreductase
Comments: The enzyme from the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis is multifunctional and also catalyses the epimerisation of the 2'-hydroxy group of 7,8-dihydroneopterin (EC 126.96.36.199, 7,8-dihydroneopterin epimerase) and the reaction of EC 188.8.131.52 (dihydroneopterin aldolase).
