Other name(s): glutamine transaminase K; glutamine-phenylpyruvate aminotransferase
Systematic name: L-glutamine:phenylpyruvate aminotransferase
Comments: A pyridoxal-phosphate protein. L-Methionine, L-histidine and L-tyrosine can act as donors. The enzyme has little activity on pyruvate and glyoxylate (cf. EC 2.6.1.15 glutaminepyruvate transaminase).
